  Tough.  I spent most of the past 15 years trying hard to be backwards compatible.  I’m now prepared to set a minimum bar for building the server.

  Which is exactly my problem.  You can stick with an old version, and get no upgrades, or you can upgrade to get new features.

  It is *highly* unproductive to support systems which are 5-6 years old.
