Strange behaviour of a NAS

Hi list,

We see a strange behaviour of a NAS. It sometimes sens out double accouting 
requests. See tcpdump below. Between the two packets there is a time 
difference of 40 microseconds(!)

Has anybody a good explanation for this behaviour of the NAS?
Any other theory? Misconfiguration?

NAS type: Alcatel SMC.

These two incomming packets are really identical. Even if you look closer 
with -v option of tcpdump. Same authenticator.
