EAP/TLS/CHAP versus open SSH

Hi,
Iam planning to secure telnet/http connections from any linux/windows box.
for this iam using pam_opie PAM module which basically is one form of
OTP(one time passwd) authentication module.

The authenticator is a linux box, so should i go for open ssh or PPP
protocol like OTP (using pam_opie PAM module). open SSH also has
Challenge response implemented. But it might be slower due to
asymmetric encryption.


I think in my use case, the authenticator has TCP/IP stack i should go
for SSH or SSL with http instead of PPP protocols.


Please let me know your comments/suggestions.
