Did some more debugging as you guys suggested... and sure enough there was an error. A messed up regex which caused the NAS to resend the request over and over.... solved...

But it seems to be a bumpy road and ran into yet another problem: rlm_perl will not let me load modules.

I found reference to this problem on the list in December 2009 in which Alan replied:

  It turns out this is largely a bug in libltl. (Of course).

  We won't be able to address it directly in 2.1.8, but you should be
able to do minor modifications to 2.1.8 that will fix it.

I'm using 2.1.10 and am getting :
Can't load '/usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2/auto/Data/Dumper/Dumper.so' for module Data::Dumper: /usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2/auto/Data/Dumper/Dumper.so: undefined symbol: PL_charclass at /usr/share/perl/5.14/XSLoader.pm line 71.
 at /usr/local/lib/perl/5.14.2/Data/Dumper.pm line 36

whenever I try to use Data::Dumper, and

Can't load '/usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBI/DBI.so' for module DBI: /usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBI/DBI.so: undefined symbol: PL_thr_key at /usr/lib/perl/5.14/DynaLoader.pm line 184.
 at /usr/lib/perl5/DBI.pm line 268

whenever I try to use DBI.

Looking at het examples on the Wiki it seems other people do not experience the same problems. Any suggestions on how to get this working?

Peter
