Get account's connection details

Hello people,
I have a couple of questions to make about the working with FreeRadius.

1. Which are the differences, advantages and disadvantages of the 
storage of users information whether in files or sql server?

2. How can get user information about their general information, session 
time, amount of mb downloaded, IP connection and other statistics to 
show to the user?
