I think by default MOTOROLA (MDG) should supports in newer version of free radius as per this link http://freeradius.org/features/vendors.html.   no need to  tell to radius right??..

  Have you tried *reading* the debug output?  That would help.

  That seems pretty clear.

  If you have problems with the filter_username policy, then disable it.  The configuration files are text, and can be edited.
