  That is the problem.

  As background, the unfortunate thing is that the FreeRADIUS core team is pretty darn small (less than 5, by a lot.)  And we're expected to be experts in:

* RADIUS
* TLS / SSL
  * certificates
  * CRLs
* EAP
  * all EAP types
* LDAP
* SQL
  * Postgresql
  * MySQL
  * ODBC
  * ...
* Operating systems
  * Linux
  * *BSD
  * OSX
* etc.

  The list of overall technologies is pretty large.  I can't think of another project which has (a) so few core members, (b) is so critical for so may people, and (c) has so many technologies behind it.
