The MS-CHAP bug has been fixed. The "use_tunneled_reply" bug has been fixed. SQL procedures in MySQL now work. Any objection to releasing 1.1.7? Alan DeKok.

I am trying to commit the BIGINT fixes as we speak and getting: cvs commit: [09:57:53] waiting for anoncvs's lock in /source/radiusd/doc/examples Can you wait until I can get this patchset in? -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

Yup. I've removed the stale lock.
OK. Looks like we are good to go. The only thing I have not updated is the MSSQL queries as I don't know have any way to test them. All other database backends should now support Gigawords out of the box. Please feel free to test :-) Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

I just did a quick run around of all the database queries and schemas and added Packet of Disconnect (aka XAscendSessionSvrKey) key logging to the radacct table. If everyone could check that these and the other changes I made today haven't broken their favourite DB before 1.1.7 is released it would be good :-) Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

I have none. And on a related note, anyone object to a new release of radiusclient? Any bugs/functionality that anyone would like to see before we tag and wrap that up? -Chris -- Chris Parker Director, Systems StarNet - US LEC, now a PAETEC Company (888)212-0099 Fax (847)963-1302 Wholesale Internet and VoIP Services http://www.megapop.net NOTICE: Message is sent IN CONFIDENCE to addressees. a call to the openssl libs every once in a while, to reload the CRL. Hopefully a triggerable call for every EAP-TLS instance If you don't want to do it, I'll try to code that in your place. I give no time frame to include this feature in 1.1.7 if I am the one doing the job, tho. Therefore, release is OK. So far, no objections.

Please update your source tree to include the last minute changes I made today to branch_1_1. I've added the patch for kerberos libs test posted to the list and fixed a few lines in the debian/ directory to make dpkg-buildpackage work out of the box. -- Nicolas Baradakis

I would like a couple of hours to do some testing before we release 1.1.7 if thats ok. I have a meeting first, but I expect to be able to run though an rpm build and quickly test the new sql stuff before lunch time. If you can wait until then it would be good. It seems suse/freeradius.spec has the wrong version number. -- Nicolas Baradakis

I am about to sync my SUSE spec file from the opensuse project. Give me another 10min to finish testing.. -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

Are we going to be "freeradius-server" or still "freeradius" for this release? Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

as a minor point release i'd say freeradius - unless there are plans to provide the radius server and radius client as seperate packages!
We have been providing a separate BSD licensedfreeradius-client package for the last 6 months and are due to make a new release any time now. Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

OK. Well, I think we are ready to release 1.1.7 if no-one else has any last minute issues.. Cheers -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/

I haven't had a chance to test stored procedures (right now I have no need for any), but I'm running the latest and greatest from CVS live with no problems. I'd be happy to test a stored procedure right now, if anyone can suggest something harmless I can do with one. FYI, I may be speaking too soon, but it looks like 1.1.7 also fixes the problem I had in 1.1.6 of not being able to run as a service. I ran it with valgrind for about 48 hours over the weekend, no errors. In 1.1.6, it would auger in within half a dozen requests.

Has the MySQL patch been tested?
The reporter of the bug (Jean Deram) has tested the current branch 1.1 and has said it's OK now.
Is it needed?
The problem is minor because it happens only if the database contains invalid attribute names, but I'd vote to include the patch in 1.1.7. -- Nicolas Baradakis

OK.
There's also the 64-bit issue reported, but I think that can wait. <sigh>
Yep. And we may get one or 2 more issues in the month following release, but I say get it out there :-) -- Peter Nixon http://peternixon.net/
