So it's a configuration issue with my NAS right?
Does it have to do with enabling connection termination on my NAS. Sorry for asking a non radius question here. I want to find the right direction to work on.

I doubt that very much. EAP and RADIUS just don't work that way.
What's probably happening is that the reply makes it back to the NAS,
which then sends it to the supplicant. The supplicant doesn't like the
reply, so it drops the EAP connection.

The default configuration for inner-tunnel works.
