Thanks Alan for your reply,

Is there an automatic command such freeradius -upgrade ?
Could you tell me how to upgrade without starting everything from scratch?
Is there any patch I can install without re-installing everything?

Many Thanks

It's not necessary.  But if you ask questions, the usual response will
be "it will be easier if you upgrade".

Much of the configuration remains the same, or similar.  I woudl
suggest going through your existing configuration, and gradually copying
it (with edits) to the default configuration for 2.x.
