Freeradius as Proxy

 Hi,
    I'm using Freeradius 1.0.5 as Proxy , but does anyone knows if
freeradius have just to send requests from NAS to Server or also server's
replies to the nas ? I mean does the radius serves reply directly to NAS or
it communicates always through the freeradius proxy?
