trouble with getting user accepted with Mysql

Do you use dialup admin to create your users?
In its config file you can choose how the passwords are stored (plain text,
encrypted,...)
Are you sure your passwords have the right attribute?

Alan pointed me in the right direction there.
The attribute needed to be Crypt-Password instead of User-password
