 Thanks Alan.  You are right, I am running
 Debian(Ubuntu).  I checked and OpenSSL is installed.
 
 OpenSSL and Freeradius have both been installed with
 the Synaptic package manager.  Is there anything
 else
 I can do?  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
