Database Population problem with mysql

I know I'm a newb here, and I'm not a Mysql expert, but it looks to
me like '0000-00-00 00:00:00" is clearly outside the allowed range,
if that range is published as '1000-01-01 00:00:00' - '9999-12-31
23:59:59'
