Unable to authenticate to 10.5.4 open directory

I don't see why. opendir.c (part of the source code that deals with
mschap authentication to OpenDirectory) is provided by Apple. You might
need to take it up with them. Perhaps something changed in the latest OS
version (code is a year old).
