  Adding a little more "productization" wouldn't hurt.  i.e. daemonising
the script, and/or forking it from the server and having the server
re-start it if it dies.

  It's a short script, but a valuable one.  And a *heck* of a lot easier
than adding AgentX code to the server in C.
