error running perl

Hello,
I am getting such an error when i try to run perl.

symbol lookup error: /usr/lib/perl5/auto/DBI/DBI.so: undefined symbol:
Perl_Tstack_sp_ptr

Where should i check for debugging this error?
What might be the possible reasons for that ?
