Password Encryption

Here is the debug for the problem:

Found Auth-Type = PAP
+- entering group PAP {...}
[pap] login attempt with password "k1mberly."
[pap] Using clear text password "{crypt}$1$3rOzYhpM$iBPcRQdUVkW4x6BxpUrNO0"
[pap] Passwords don't match
++[pap] returns reject
Failed to authenticate the user.

how can i fix this problem?
