  It boggles my mind that people are starting new RADIUS servers in
2010.  FreeRADIUS runs many of the largest ISPs and Telcos on the
planet.  We're talking sites with tens of millions of users.

  People should write their own RADIUS server for two reasons:

1) research

2) they want to waste a lot of time and money building a product
   that has fewer features than FreeRADIUS
