Hi everyone,

just for the records:

Thanks to Aman and Matthew for providing me with potential workarounds (by PM).
Aman says:
> This has been fixed after beta but the way to go about it is add a "\"
> before the username.
Matthew says:
> Just to let you know we have also seen this (although we tested
> with wireless not wired).
>
> We have found that if you put an '@realm' on the end of the
> username, windows will remove the host\\ from the start.

Interestingly enough, none of these worked.
We finally managed to get wpa_supplicant for Windows to run
in Windows 7 compatibility mode, authentication was
successful then -- but did not trigger a subsequent DHCP request.
Could do this manually, of course, but the user at this
point realized he needs his machine for work not play
and reverted to Windows 7 ...

Thanks a lot to everyone trying to help out
Martin
