Issues getting SLES11 FreeRadius working with eDirectory

This may be why you're not having any luck? And Novell helpfully has this article about error 80:

But I also see that you are not connecting to the eDirectory server with LDAPS, which is a requirement for Universal Password, so it's possible the policy refuses to let you have the password, or the Universal Password attribute is not set for the user.
