Then it won't specifically need 2.2.x. The shell script interface
hasn't changed, I doubt even the arguments supported by ldapsearch
will have changed...

Also, consider using the native LDAP module in v3.0.x it's flexible
enough for the majority of scenarios, and will be *significantly*
faster.
