You do know what running radiusd in full debug mode does to the server (hint *single thread*) ?

If your kit supports status-server then is recommend that you use it. ...but i meant for the connecting between your server and the upstream proxies as if you send a request to them that they send to another system and that other system doesn't respond then you won't get a response. ..the remote proxy doesn't respond autonomously. ...That's why you need to use status-server 

Also. We are you doing regarding accounting?  Your kit is sending radius accounting to your server?   Perhaps you are looking in the wrong place and it's the accounting stuff that's causing lack of response from your server
