Proxy check request problem

Hi

I have following proxy configuration:

I have following proxy configuration for 3rd party server (only piece of
the configuration).

type = auth+acct
port = 1812

password = "incorrect" # We don't need Access-Accept, enough is
Access-Reject
....

My server recieves only auth/autz requests which are proxied to 3rd party
servers. In case of 3rd party unavailability the server sends request to
check status of the 3rd party server. Question is why does server send
Accounting Request instead of Access Accept ?

Another question for clarification:
If i use type=auth+acct, what is correct value for the port ? Is it correct
port=1812 ?
