  The point is that it's a waste of your time to debug broken products.

  The people who created those products are too lazy and/or incompetent to implement the standards correctly.  Instead, they push garbage onto you, the customer, and then you spend time and effort trying to figure out what's wrong with their products.

  It's ridiculous.

  You should name and shame.  Post the maker and model of the equipment, and we'll put it on the Wiki with a "DO NOT BUY THIS" recommendation.  That way fewer people run into the same issues.
