  It's a bit hard to see intent / goals from a bare dump of the configuration, with any distinguishing information removed.

  Any best practices would involve using the most efficient possible configuration.  So don't do the same check repeatedly.  Instead, do it once in an "if" statement, and then do other checks inside of that "if" statement.

  Managing complex configuration means having the configuration do less work.  This almost always means a smaller and clearer configuration, which is good.
