authentication failed

Dear All, I am using free radius client. Authenticating with the free radius server. If I am using free radius utility radclient and passing argument as a shared secret then it works fine. With free radius client utility radiusclient application, if I am providing as it in file servers then it is giving me error that unprintable characters in password. Can any suggest where I am wrong?
