If the servers only do accounting, I can see that. But if they do authentication, there's the possibility (not huge) of problems.
In any case, it looks like a bad bug. I'm not sure how to track it down...
We are currently regularly crashing the proxy code in our test setup with last night's snapshot. I am in another city right now (in the airport waiting to go home actually) so I will check it further when I get to the office tomorrow.
