develope a radius_client

Hello, everybody! I wanna write a radius client - a very simple one, just for sending a request to my Radius server, and receive message from radius server. I'm gonna develope it under Solaris. I'm a green hand and wandering is there any functions or classes I can use, any reply will be appreiciated thx
