If the server doesn't respond on localhost, then either it isn't running, or you edited the configuration files to break it.

The fact is Radius works correctly on the localmachine (the same machine on which FreeRadius 1.0.5 was installed).However, when a authentication request was sent to Radius Server from the other machine. The request got no response. I don't know the reason. Can you give me a detail on how to resovle the problem?

Alan.. Maybe I can help here.... In order to resolve the problem one must know what the problem is. May I suggest that you start Radius with "radiusd -sfxxyz -l stdout" and observe what happens and then maybe that will give you a clue. -- LeRoy

It's even simpler than that. He should edit the "clients.conf" file to add the external machine as a client. But he's made it difficult for anyone to help him, because his posts contain as little information as possible. Alan DeKok.
