Freeradiusd-3.0.6 Wrong acctstartime, acctupdatetime, acctstoptime
Dear All, I'm using freeradiusd-3.0.6, with mariadb in CentOS-7. When use logs in the entry in radacct table for show 000-00-00 00:00:00 for both acctstarttime, and acctupdatetime and same for acctstoptime when use get disconnected. I'm using MikroTik as NAS. What may be the cause for the issue. Thanks, Akash Shrestha

Your NAS isn’t sending the start time, etc. in the accounting packets. Alan DeKok.
Ok' But the same NAS when used with freeradiusd-2.x, shows correct acctstarttime, and acctstoptime. So where can be the problem. i find the problem with freeradiusd-3.0.6. On 2014-12-21 22:09, Alan DeKok wrote:

Then post the debug output. As we say almost daily on this list, that is needed to answer these kind of questions.

When use logs in the entry in radacct table for show 000-00-00 00:00:00 for both acctstarttime, and acctupdatetime and same for acctstoptime when use get disconnected. I'm using MikroTik as NAS. What may be the cause for the issue.
Your NAS isn't sending the start time, etc. in the accounting packets.

You've got the query dialect set to sqlite instead of mysql. -Arran Arran Cudbard-Bell <a.cudbardb@freeradius.org> FreeRADIUS development team FD31 3077 42EC 7FCD 32FE 5EE2 56CF 27F9 30A8 CAA2
Thanks, yes I have changed that to mysql, but still my acctstartime is showing something like: 1970-01-08 17:24:02 I found a line in debug output as: Received Accounting-Request Id 32 from 202.52.245.173:52738 to 202.52.245.172:1813 length 182 (3) Service-Type = Framed-User (3) Framed-Protocol = PPP (3) NAS-Port = 15728643 (3) NAS-Port-Type = Ethernet (3) User-Name = 'akash' (3) Calling-Station-Id = '00:0F:38:6B:45:D4' (3) Called-Station-Id = 'PPPoE_B' (3) NAS-Port-Id = 'PPP' (3) Acct-Session-Id = '81100003' (3) Framed-IP-Address = 10.20.10.254 (3) Acct-Authentic = RADIUS (3) EVENT-TIMESTAMP = 'JAN 8 1970 17:29:02 IST' (3) Acct-Session-Time = 300 (3) Acct-Input-Octets = 64648 (3) Acct-Input-Gigawords = 0 (3) Acct-Input-Packets = 627 (3) Acct-Output-Octets = 611423 (3) Acct-Output-Gigawords = 0 (3) Acct-Output-Packets = 646 (3) Acct-Status-Type = Interim-Update (3) NAS-Identifier = 'MikroTik' (3) Acct-Delay-Time = 0 -------------------------------------- On 2014-12-22 09:04, Arran Cudbard-Bell wrote:

Hi Arran, Now I fixed the issue, the wrong datetime in acctstarttime (1970-01-08 17:24:02) was due to wrong date set in my NAS. I got both acctstarttime and acctstoptime working fine after correcting date in my NAS. Thanks for your help. Akash On 2014-12-22 10:06, Akash wrote:
