rad_check_password cleartext?
I have read some posts on this, and I'm sorry I don't really understand. 1. Am I transmitting clear text over the network? 2. If I need to worry, then can someone tell me which bit of the config I have to change as I grepped just about everything I could find, but found nothing! This is the error ? in the debug output. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! Replacing User-Password in config items with Cleartext-Password. !!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!! Please update your configuration so that the "known good" !!! !!! clear text password is in Cleartext-Password, and not in User-Password. !!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No.

It means that something (maybe LDAP) is putting the "known good" password into the User-Password attribute, and not the Cleartext-Password attribute. For now, don't worry about it. It's only a message to help people migrate their configurations, and it has zero effect on a running server. Alan DeKok.
