Hello, I am trying to complete the install of freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64.rpm but I need to download some additional rpms to build a repo. - nothing provides libfreeradius-dhcp.so()(64bit) needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline - nothing provides libfreeradius-eap.so()(64bit) needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline - nothing provides libfreeradius-radius.so()(64bit) needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline - nothing provides libfreeradius-server.so()(64bit) needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline - nothing provides perl(DBI) needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline - nothing provides freeradius = 3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33 needed by freeradius-utils-3.0.20-15.module+el8.10.0+90375+641abe33.x86_64 from @commandline (try to add '--skip-broken' to skip uninstallable packages or '--nobest' to use not only best candidate packages) Can someone assist me with where I can get the missing components where I can successfully install this product? First, there's no reason to install 3.0.20 when newer versions are available. 3.0.20 is years out of date. There have been many bug fixes in releases since then.
Can someone assist me with where I can get the missing components where I can successfully install this product?
The short answer is that your OS packages are broken. The package system should provide (and manage) all of the dependencies for the various packages. The above errors show that the package manager isn't doing that. We didn't create the FreeRADIUS packages for your OS, and we have no control over them. Or, you've found a copy of the "freeradius-utils" packages from somewhere else, and are trying to install it without using your OS package manager. Since the package manager doesn't know anything about third-party packages, it can't resolve dependencies in them, So this isn't a FreeRADIUS issue. If you want to use up-to-date and working packages, see https://packages.inkbridgenetworks.com/ We supply (for free) packages which work for the main Linux distributions. Alan DeKok.
