Browser and Device information
Dear All, I hope you are doing great. I want to know that when as user is authenticated via freeradius, is there a possibility that I can also get the clients device's type, browser information and other sort of info along with it. If yes, can anyone please point me - I will do my best to move in that direction. It's impossible. That information doesn't exist in RADIUS. You will need to install a captive portal. Alan DeKok.
if using EAP, you could use SoH to get information about Windows clients (so long as they have relevant setting) - otherwise, you are looking at needing to use eg DHCP fingerprinting, TCP fingerprinting, transparent proxying etc - all ways of getting what you want or put everyone through a captive portal (airport/coffee shop style) alan On 24 July 2017 at 19:38, Safiullah Tariq <safiullahtariq@gmail.com> wrote:

This is going to be a vendor feature if you can, so go and ask Mikrotik. But it's fairly unlikely to to be put in the RADIUS request even they do get it. -- Matthew
