hi Nick, you can specify a startpage for every single user in the rad_radcheck table. Just use the Attribute "WISPr-Redirection-URL" with operator ":=" and the URL. The user will then be automatically redirected to this URL on logging in successfully. This will override any global redirect setting for the specified user! cheers Sebastian Nick Marino wrote:

But isnt that specific to wireless clients only?
I can't imagine that it is that specific. Well at least I dunno...we just used it with our hotspots and it worked fine... cheers Sebastian Nick Marino wrote:

Yeah I have used it with hotspot software also and it did work well, but WISPR is specific to wireless ISP's.
The start login page depends on hotspot type. for example, I use for Nomadix 2100 the specific vendor attribute 'Nomadix-URL-Redirect'. Each hotspot has one. and it is set in radreply table.

That would be nice to do. Especially for deactivated users. Unfortunately I don't think it's possible. One of my colleagues looked into that but he couldn't do it at this level. Some companies to this with MS ISA. As far as I know you need some sort of a proxy server to do this. oh just forgot to mention: you can do the same for groups in rad_groupcheck :) cheers Sebastian Nick Marino wrote:

I've just tried it but it doesn't work. :-( Is WISPr-Redirection-URL specific to a certain type of NAS? I've tried it with an adsl username: Radcheck: +-----+-----------+----------------+----+---------------+ | id | UserName | Attribute | op | Value | +-----+-----------+----------------+----+---------------+ | 580 | testagain | Crypt-Password | == | | +-----+-----------+----------------+----+---------------+ +-----+-----------+-------------+ | id | UserName | GroupName | +-----+-----------+-------------+ | 580 | testagain | deactivated | +-----+-----------+-------------+ | 27 | deactivated | WISPr-Redirection-URL | := | http://microsoft.com | Thank you for using Cybernet ! I dunno but I was told repeatedly that this is specific for wireless nas's during the last hours.... Maybe there is a different Attribute.... cheers Sebastian Bogdan Dumitriu - Technical Support Team wrote:

Like I said it specific to Wireless, generally hotspot software that is expecting that attribute to be returned. If the NAS requesting the authentication has no provision for that attribute it will be discarded.
My company tried to do the same thing awhile back. We had to use return attributes to tell the NAS to give the user a specific IP pool. Then on the NAS we had rules to redirect all traffic on that IP pool to the webserver displaying the particular web address. Nick Marino wrote:
