Fwd: FreeRADIUS issue on Ubuntu 18.04
Hello, An issue was flagged up on one of our mailing lists by a user - it seems that Ubuntu has bumped the OpenSSL version they're distributing in 18.04 from 1.1.0 to 1.1.1, which has caused the version string to change. https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic/openssl https://packages.ubuntu.com/bionic-updates/openssl I think that it'd just be a case of rebuilding the network radius packages, but detecting whether the system is running 1.1.0 or 1.1.1 might be a bit more fun. Try and start FreeRADIUS: libssl version mismatch. built: 1010007f linked: 1010100f I’m a bit stuck here, it’s a completely new, clean, up to date box, and I’ve hit something of a brick wall with it. Can anybody offer any suggestions? The installed OpenSSL is OpenSSL 1.1.1 11 Sep 2018. Fixed in v3.0.x around a month ago. The OpenSSL checks were relaxed a bit. -- Matthew

Just noticed you mean the NR packages. I'll see if there's anything we can do prior to 3.0.20 being released. -- Matthew
