How about asking ZTE?
Why would we have it, and keep it secret?

you need to issue the 'vendor enable' command for the 8900 series to include the additional attributes. I managed to find a partial set of attributes for doing QoS and one for CLI auth, but there are still several mystery attributes. You'll need to contact ZTE directly to get the information, it's not mentioned in any of the public whitepapers or manuals I could find. If/when you do get full documentation for the attributes, please send a pull request, or send the document to me. ZTE are a substantial telecoms vendor (they make broadband access switches amongst other things), and it would be nice to ship with full dictionaries for their products. I only found reference to four attributes in the manuals themselves: Vendor attributes present in outbound auth-request: 0/20/CPU0 2010-7-26 02:41:37 type = 26 , length = 12 , VendorID = 1054801920 0/20/CPU0 2010-7-26 02:41:37 VendorType = 222, VendorLength = 6 , VendorValue = 00 00 00 58 : ...X 0/20/CPU0 2010-7-26 02:41:37 type = 26 , length = 14 , VendorID = 225182464 0/20/CPU0 2010-7-26 02:41:37 VendorType = 104, VendorLength = 8 , VendorValue = 01 02 03 04 05 06 : ...... You have found the same whitepaper as I did but In doubt of the legal formalities (proprietary / confidential) in the document I asked Alan off-list whether a dictionary sourced from such a document would even be acceptable. You were faster than I and don't think that this might be of an issue. :-) -- Mathieu --- Diese E-Mail ist frei von Viren und Malware, denn der avast! Antivirus Schutz ist aktiv. http://www.avast.com

Dear Matsimon Do you have any idea how to use : ZTE_Session_Timeout_Type ? It is not listed in zte attribute , it can be configured in NAS CLI ? On Sat, Apr 26, 2014 at 8:54 PM, Mathieu Simon (Lists) < matsimon.lists@simweb.ch> wrote:

As Arran wrote, this current dictionary is only a partial one, the referenced whitepaper doesn't contain more information. Without further documentation (ask them) it's not possible to get any further. Arran's answer from a similar (Netgear-related) topic last year applies here too: "There's no way to query the NAS to determine which attributes it supports. Or to decode unknown VSAs into meaningful data. This is not a limitation of FreeRADIUS, but a limitation of the protocol."* -- Mathieu * http://freeradius.1045715.n5.nabble.com/How-to-get-vendor-specific-attribute... --- Diese E-Mail ist frei von Viren und Malware, denn der avast! Again, thank Arran who was very quick, and has already sorted the attributes again and added them to dictionary.zte. https://github.com/FreeRADIUS/freeradius-server/commit/d1b01b1375d75435c3f41... Can you share a source for the documentation that gave you those missing bits compare to the public whitepaper? Like for other vendor documentation this may be helpful in future. Maybe that helps to resolve the naming conflicts on attributes 81 (ZTE-Usage-Type vs. ZTE-QoS-Type) and 191 (ZTE_Rate-Bust-DPIR vs. ZTE-SW-Privilege) -- Mat --- Diese E-Mail ist frei von Viren und Malware, denn der avast! If they want to be idiots and make it harder for their customers to get a working solution, then they're welcome to request that the dictionary be removed from the src tree. Arran Cudbard-Bell <a.cudbardb@freeradius.org> FreeRADIUS Development Team FD31 3077 42EC 7FCD 32FE 5EE2 56CF 27F9 30A8 CAA2
