Hi all, Please accept my apologies for this complicate question. I need make a new FR server from sources with mysql support, and I have only two OS options: CentOS 5 or Ubuntu 8. I used only FreeBSD, but now I have only these two options. Any suggestions? Thx
Im a bit biased towards ubuntu, but i can say from experience that it is relatively easy to implement in ubuntu. My limited experience with centos has been with squid and websense, which was quite annoying to implement. either will be alien to you. I run on both - I feel that the CentOS route is 'easier' in several ways... both have available, ready to download, packages with MySQL support...you dont *need* to build from source... alan
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=252725 I built this for some of our customers, so it has a daloRADIUS web interface that is customized to the company I work for. It uses MySQL/Ubuntu 8.04LTS, FreeRADIUS 1.1.7 (because I wanted to use only signed binaries) and works quite well. It really isn't anything special, just a prebuild VMware appliance that makes things eaiser. On Mon, Mar 2, 2009 at 9:48 AM, Toledo, Luis Carlos <lscrlstld@gmail.com> wrote:
