Idle Time-out- Session time-out/ Acct start-stop packet
Thanks for your reply Ivan. Can you advice me where this re-authentication settings could be ? Thanks for your help. Furthermore, I would like to know if I change my AAA architecture, could my NAS (as proxy) forward (alvarion BTS) the interim-update package? Unfortunately, that did not work and now, I am still stuck to figure out how could I do that. To sum up this issue, I got Alvarion NAS,
You have our sincere condolences.
from my users, I can see accounting start and accounting stop packet, every 10 minutes, I got an accounting packet stop from my users with everytime the same termination cause = lost-carrier.
So timeouts are not responsible and changing them will achieve nothing. You need to see why is NAS dropping connections. Perhaps some re-authentication setting? Ivan Kalik
Hi, I'm trying to install freeradius (Version 2.1.7.: tar.bz2), on suse_sles-11-0-0.001 and following the procedure below, I ran into the following errors: Sh: apxs2-prefork: command not found Error: failed build dependencies: Db-dvel is needed by freeradius-server-2.1.7-0.i586 And the list goes on.. Is this Linux not the right one? Any suggestion please? Rgrds, Alex Building SUSE packages On SUSE Linux it should be a simple matter of taking the latest FreeRADIUS release tarball and dropping it in /usr/src/packages/SOURCES along with the other files from the suse/ directory inside the tarball with the exception of freeradius.spec which goes in /usr/src/packages/SPECS Then simply run: rpmbuild -ba /usr/src/packages/SPECS/freeradius.spec rpmbuild will tell you if you are missing any build dependencies. If so, simply install them with yast2 -i packagename-devel then rerun rpmbuild __________ Information from ESET NOD32 Antivirus, version of virus signature database 4656 (20091202) __________ The message was checked by ESET NOD32 Antivirus. http://www.eset.com

you just need to install dependencies - tools such as apxs2-prefork are supplied via some SUSE package - this is the fun when doing home-builds you need to know your distro better. just use the contribute SUSE build stuff or use a prebuilt SUSE RPM for 2.1.7 if you're unsure alan
Alen, I'm curios, I loaded a fully blown about 5 gig OS, why did it not come with all that is needed? I googled "SUSE RPM for 2.1.7" I did not get a hit on the first page on Novell which is where I got the suse from. How compatible reliable trustworthy the package is gona be? I'll try the one I got from " http://download.opensuse.org/update/11.1/rpm/src/" Is 11.1 in the link above the same as suse_sles-11-0-0.001 ? Because all *everyone* is going to need is considerably more than that. E.g., if you are going to download a complete Debian stable for amd64, that's now 6 DVD images with compressed packages: http://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/5.0.3/amd64/iso-dvd/ And I'm not trying to claim that Debian has all you ever need... You just have to recalibrate your view of how much 5 GB is :-) Bjørn
Alan, I googled one error, I got about 300 RPMs. Please take a look at the attachment of the error log, and kindly, let me know what libraries I should use to what Linux. I'm using suse 11.0 novell enterprise server. Alvarion technical support.

Again, Alvarion technical support. We have no idea what their device can do. Freeradius can. Ivan Kalik
