Hi Everyone I have installed the latest version of Free Radius onto an Ubuntu server, and was hoping that someone can help me with the steps to get it to authenticate users against our LDAP server Are there any good HOW-TOs out there on the best way to do this? Im finding everything as bit confusing and could do with an outline of the steps to take, or files I need to edit. So far from googling Edit the LDAP section of radius.conf - done, I think! Edit the dictionary file? Edit users file? Any help appreciated Martin Martin Macleod-Brown | Infrastructure Engineer - Networks & Security Infrastructure Team London Business School | Regent's Park | London NW1 4SA | United Kingdom Switchboard +44 (0)20 7000 7000 | Direct line +44 (0)20 7000 7772 | Mobile +44 (0)796 690 7772 | Email mmacleod@london.edu <mailto:mmacleod@london.edu> www.london.edu <http://www.london.edu> | London experience. Hi, Integration works quite good. But there are no new HOWTOs around. Just read the doc provided with FreeRADIUS. Google for some special problems that might arise. This one is quite old, but berhaps it helps to understand the basics: http://www.linux-magazine.com/issue/52/Freeradius_802.1X.pdf Greetings, -- Dr. Michael Schwartzkopff MultiNET Services GmbH Addresse: Bretonischer Ring 7; 85630 Grasbrunn; Germany Tel: +49 - 89 - 45 69 11 0 Fax: +49 - 89 - 45 69 11 21 mob: +49 - 174 - 343 28 75 mail: misch@multinet.de web: www.multinet.de Sitz der Gesellschaft: 85630 Grasbrunn Registergericht: Amtsgericht München HRB 114375 Geschäftsführer: Günter Jurgeneit, Hubert Martens --- PGP Fingerprint: F919 3919 FF12 ED5A 2801 DEA6 AA77 57A4 EDD8 979B Skype: misch42

Just to re-enforce what others have said, its pretty simple. Just make sure you either have the correct dial-in attribute on your users in the LDAP server or that you comment out the line containing it. (it took me a while to figure out why is was sending so many access-reject packets) On Wed, Oct 15, 2008 at 4:36 AM, <tnt@kalik.net> wrote:
