Windows XP client not connecting
Freeradius is configured to use peap/mschapv2 with Active Directory. We created the certificate with the required extensions. Windows 7 is working but Windows XP with service pack 3 is only working when using its Intel Proset Wireless utility (with and without certicate validation). It does not work with its native client not even when disabling validation of the server certificate. We noticed that it authenticates successfully but then it disconnects. Hello, The certificate has the following extensions: Server Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.1) Client Authentication (1.3.6.1.5.5.7.3.2) Also, Windows XP with sp3 client does not works even without the certificate validation. I don't care. You failed to check all of the items on the wiki page. You failed to follow the link which describes how to deploy EAP. Windows XP works with FreeRADIUS. It has worked for nearly 10 years. Thousands of sites run Windows XP with FreeRADIUS. The documentation (wiki, web pages, etc.) contain DETAILED instructions for how to configure XP with FreeRADIUS. If you can't get it to work, it's because you did something wrong. Follow the instructions and it will work. Alan DeKok.
