Hello, I use radius for my wlan auth but I also want it for lan but how? I use pfsense with radius 2.x It works fine with wlan but how I use it for lan? If I connect via lan port on my AP I can reach everything without radius auth. Thanks Andreas
Hello, if you are using PFsense 2 and captiv portal, go to your captiv portal admininistration, hit maj+ select LAN on Interface Field, this will have as result to add an Interface to your captiv portal instead of replacing the one available Note, this is not really a freeradius Issue Le dimanche 02 octobre 2011 à 17:31 +0200, Andreas Rudat a écrit :

Note, this is not really a freeradius Issue Thanks, but I dont want to use captive portal. It would be great if I could tell radius that user can only connect if it used min. one Radius Client, for example the AP.

How would you manage with PFSENSE and Freeradius, without using captiv portal for Lan Interface Auth??? Squid Proxy? VPN ? Le dimanche 02 octobre 2011 à 18:22 +0200, Andreas Rudat a écrit :

So...New Topic??? What happened with mine...nobody could help me???
Not sure who's hijacking who's thead here, but anyway you were given advice to check the network, or hire an expert to do so, as it looks like a network problem you adamantly insist you want to keep looking at it from radius side is there really a need to continue this further? You're not listening to given advice, lack the needed knowlodge to solve it yourself, and refuse to get help from an expert. If my guess is correct, a network expert with access to your radius server, NAS, and networking elements (e.g. router, firewall) would only need 30 minutes or so to solve your problem. -- Fajar

a network expert should be able to solve it in minutes... ;-) I probably could but he wouldnt be able to pay me enough ;-) alan

You have to setup 802.1X port authentication... if your Wlan AP supports it.
