In the hints file I want to look for one of two domains to pick which ldap server to auth to. Users are used to the DOMAIN\user syntax, so I put in hint prefix checks for DOMAIN1\ and DOMAIN2\. What I found was that trying to match on the back slash doesn't work, despite trying several checks with escaping. A prefix check using a forward slash or a postfix check using @ (user@realm) works fine.
