What do you mean digest mode? VERY loosely speaking, a proxying radius server can act as a "gateway" by receiving packets and transmitting them with a modified list of AV pairs. -Chris Carver

The sample proxy.conf file in raddb/proxy.conf and doc/proxy would be good places to start. Radius proxy'ing is a very common thing so a search for proxy'ing on the mailing list archives would probably yield a lot of good information. I'm not aware of a specific howto. -Chris Carver
