Version 3.0.8 has been released
We're happy to announce the release of version 3.0.8. We've spent a lot of time testing the server under load, and adding more regression tests. These tests have been added to the git repository, and are run daily. This process helps ensure that future changes don't result in regressions. The ChangeLog is available here: http://freeradius.org/press/index.html#3.0.8 Documentation for "unlang" and many modules is available at http://networkradius.com/doc/3.0.8/ Alan DeKok.

Thanks all for the hard work! I've submitted a PR to FreeBSD with a patch to get the www/freeradius3 port upgraded. https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=199631

Thanks Alan! :) Minor nits: The front page at http://freeradius.org/ says "The server has reached a stable Version 2.2.7 (sig) , with incremental improvements added in every release." Clicking Version 2.2.7 downloads the EOL release. This should probably be pointed to 3.0.8 now. Somebody who doesn't read down the page won't realise that 3.0.8 is available. Also, http://freeradius.org/git/ says that v2.x.x is 'The "long term support" release. The only changes to this code will be minor bug fixes.' I suggest that this should be reworded to state that the branch is end of life and that only security fixes will be applied. Presently it reads on that page like it is still in sustaining support but isn't. Cheers, Nick

Cool! :) Hunting and poking around the website, http://freeradius.org/version2.html could probably do with being touched up too. Nick

http://freeradius.org/version3.html still says that it is the feature release version, perhaps reword it to say that it is stable and usable for everyday purposes? Regards, Nick On Thu, Apr 23, 2015 at 1:41 PM, Arran Cudbard-Bell < a.cudbardb@freeradius.org> wrote:

But what if we want to mention more than one RADIUS ? What would it be (assuming we're English) ? RADIUSs ? RADIUSes ? But you don't. You speak of RADIUS *servers* and see, it resolves itself. :-)

The latter would apply (if it were to come to that), although mathematically speaking, RADII would be more appropriate.
