Freeradius Groups and Linux Users
Hello, I have 2 small questions for the ML: 1) when using the auth radius under Linux, I'm still require to create the account on the machine? because I can't do otherwise if it does not work. 2) I can't make groups, such bob has the rights to log on Linux, Ted on Linux, Unix and Fred on The Switch is it possible? No. See: man 5 users. or rlm_sql or rlm_ldap, or ...

http://wiki.freeradius.org/SQL_HOWTO That's for 1.1.7 but most of it applies to 2.x as well. Only change is that part of the sql.conf (queries) have been moved to database specific config files (for MySQL it will be in sql/mysql/dialup.conf).
