Which Linux Distro is recommended for running FreeRadius 2.1 ? I'm looking to avoid having to compile Samba by hand. Thanks. -Neil -- Neil Johnson Network Engineer Information Technology Services The University of Iowa 319 384-0938 neil-johnson@uiowa.edu

I'm partial to Fedora :-) Fedora makes a point of being current, integrating the latest releases. Fedora releases on about a 6 month cycle, F14 was just released yesterday. Fedora is the breeding ground for RHEL (CentOS) which is targeted to enterprise servers. Fedora is updated with the latest FreeRADIUS releases, usually within days. More information about FreeRADIUS on Red Hat distributions can be found here: http://wiki.freeradius.org/Red_Hat_FAQ Information about downloading and installing Fedora can be found here: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_Project_Wiki The latest release of FreeRADIUS is 2.1.10 which can be found in Fedora 13 and 14. -- John Dennis <jdennis@redhat.com> Looking to carve out IT costs? www.redhat.com/carveoutcosts/
