The problem should be fixed in the next release. (version 1.1.1)

You can get a pre-version in branch_1_1 of the CVS, and rebuild
FreeRADIUS with dpkg-buildpackage.

$ cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at cvs.freeradius.org:/source login
CVS password: anoncvs
$ cvs -d :pserver:anoncvs at cvs.freeradius.org:/source checkout -r branch_1_1 radiusd
