problem with freeradius & fedors core 5,6

Ok.  I'm fairly new to Linux & thought that doing a 
`make clean' would accomplish this.  Do I have to go in 
& delete all of the leftover freeradius files after the 
`make clean'?  Or, what is the best way to make sure that the 
previous install has been completely removed.
