Hi,
I complied it on my own before I installed it.
I can write down for you what steps I took.
The steps i took was following:
1. $ I opened the terminal and wrote "wget ftp://ftp.freeradius.org/pub/freeradius/freeradius-server-2.1.7.tar.gz"
2. $ tar xzf freeradius-server-2.1.7.tar.gz
3. $ cd freeradius-server-2.1.7
4. $ ./configure --with-openssl --with-openssl-includes=/usr/local/openssl/include/ --with-openssl-libraries=/usr/local/openssl/lib/
5. $ make
6. $ sudo make install
7. $ sudo ldconfig
Is there any of the above steps that is incorrect? I did it on my normal user account and not the root account. I have tried once with another installation of ubuntu and freeradius to do the same when i was logged in as root but got the same error message. I will add the output once more below:
peter at freeradius:~$ sudo radiusd -X
